Wine Advocate 90 points - The more serious 2006 Altos de Luzon is 50% Monastrell, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Tempranillo and was aged for 12 months in new French and American oak. This purple-colored wine offers a complex aromatic array of pain grille, scorched earth, blueberry, black cherry, and violets. This leads to a full-bodied wine with layers of savory fruit, spicy flavors, outstanding depth and structure, and a lengthy finish. It will evolve for 2-3 years and be at its best from 2010 to 2018. ” (Aug 2008)
